02 · CLAIM YOUR EXISTING RECORD

Already Competed? Claim Your Angler Profile

VAL may have already created an angler profile for you when recording results from an official tournament. Claiming that existing profile connects your VAL account to your tournament history, wins, podiums, and season points.

  1. Search for your gamertagVisit the Anglers directory and check whether your public profile already exists.
  2. Create or sign in to your VAL accountYour private account username does not have to match your public angler gamertag.
  3. Request the existing profileOpen your Angler Dashboard, search for your gamertag, add an optional verification note, and select “Claim This Profile.”
  4. Wait for approvalA VAL administrator reviews the request to make sure the profile is connected to the correct person.
  5. Complete your profileAfter approval, add your photo, biography, platforms, fishing games, team, and social channels. Your existing competitive results remain attached.

IMPORTANT: Already see your gamertag? Don’t create a duplicate angler profile. Claim the existing one so your complete tournament history stays together.

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything a new angler needs to know before joining the first competition.

Does it cost anything to create an angler profile?+

No. Creating and using your VAL account is absolutely free.

Which fishing games are supported?+

VAL currently supports Fishing Planet, Call of the Wild: The Angler, and Russian Fishing 4.

Can PC, PlayStation, and Xbox anglers compete together?+

Absolutely. You may not be on the same game server, but everyone fishes the same virtual waterbody during the same competition window.

Do I need to stream my gameplay?+

No. Capture screenshots of your qualifying catch or catches and the fish in your keepnet, then submit them to the host’s designated Discord channel during the competition. Tournaments usually close within minutes after the timer expires.

How do I enter a tournament?+

Join the host’s stream, begin fishing when the competition timer starts, and stop when it expires. Submit your results promptly in the host’s designated Discord channel.

How are tournament results verified?+

The host or their moderators review submitted screenshots and on-screen catches before confirming the results.

How do season points work?+

Points accumulate throughout the active season. First place earns 100 points, second earns 50 points, and third earns 25 points unless the event page states a different approved format.

Can I join a fishing team?+

Yes. Review the team’s platforms, language, age, and recruitment requirements before applying to join.

Can I host my own tournament series?+

Yes. To request verified VAL Host access, contact tipsyfps@gmail.com. A direct website application will be added later.

What happens if my angler record already exists?+

Claim the existing angler profile instead of creating a duplicate. The administrator will review the request; once approved, you can customize the profile from your dashboard.

Are these real-life fishing tournaments?+

No. VAL is currently focused on competitive fishing video games. We welcome real-life anglers, but VAL tournaments take place on virtual water through an approved fishing game.

Where can I watch competitions?+

Visit the VAL Hosts page, choose a host or series, and follow the competition on that host’s listed streaming platform.
